Welded / brazed joints personnel certification

HMS performs certification of welded / brazed joints personnel in accordance with its HMS-01 certification program.

A candidate applying for certification should meet the following criteria:

• over 18 years of age,
• meet the requirements for training and/or practice in making welded / brazed joints, when required by a reference document,
• have a valid medical certificate confirming that there are no contraindications to do the job related to welding / brazing.
• have a command of spoken and written Polish or English (the exam may be conducted in these languages) in the level that ensures free communication in the field of certification,
• have a command of spoken and written a different language in which the exam may be conducted – an option available only after agree this fact with the Certification Body

The candidate taking the exam is obliged to submit a declaration of knowledge of the requirements set out in the HMS-01 certification program.

The declaration is submitted on the form JN.F.I01.01.V01.

The candidate taking the exam may submit complaints and appeals against the decisions of the certification body; written complaints and appeals must be addressed to the head of the certification body.

RE-CERTIFICATION PROCESS

In the case of recertification, the workflow is exactly the same as in the case of the first certification. In order to ensure the continuity of certification, it is recommended to submit an application for certification not less than 30 days before the expiry date of the currently held certificate.

CHANGES IN THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OR REFERENCED STANDARDS

In the case of a change in the certification program, the entity is required to analyze whether the certificates issued by it, which were valid at the time of the change, before the changes to the certification program were introduced, can remain valid, or whether steps should be taken to maintain their validity. All results of the analysis and possible actions must be documented.

In the case of changes in the referenced standards, at the request of a person or enterprise, the changes in the referenced standards in relation to those held by persons are verified and their scope is determined, and appropriate steps are taken in consultation with the client (change of certificate or reassessment).
